Viatik Raises $600,000 in Funding

Viatik, a Uruguayan startup that operates an intercity ridesharing platform, has raised $600,000 in its second funding round. Founded in 2022, the company has now secured a total of over $850,000 in financing to support its operations and expansion. The startup connects drivers and passengers for intercity travel, utilizing AI to manage its platform and customer service.

The round included participation from Plug and Play, the Picante accelerator, and the Uruguayan state agency ANII. Additionally, several angel investors participated, including Ruben Sosenke (co-founder of PedidosYa), Alan Descoins (CEO of Tryolabs), Federico Lavagna (co-founder of Sinergia), Mariano Otero (former Uber Argentina leader), and Iang Yim (co-founder of Nearsure).

Viatik Use of Funds

The company intends to use the capital to accelerate its growth in the Argentine market, where it has experienced rapid adoption. The funds will support the launch of new travel routes and the scaling of the platform's user base, building on recent growth where transaction volume increased sixfold between June and September 2026.
