Limetax Raises €36M in Funding

Berlin-based Limetax, an AI-powered platform for tax and accounting firms, has raised €36 million in funding, consisting of €6 million in pre-seed equity and a €30 million credit facility. Founded in 2026, the company uses its agentic AI technology to automate repetitive bookkeeping, payroll, and financial statement tasks, allowing accounting firms to scale their advisory capacity.

Investors

The pre-seed equity round was led by Motive Partners, a New York-based investment firm. Additional equity participants included Activant, Heliad, Christian Lindner, Alexander Kudlich, Anton Rummel, and Ante Spittler. The €30 million credit facility was provided by a consortium of German banks.

Limetax Use of Funds

Limetax will use the combined equity and debt financing to accelerate its strategy of consolidating the fragmented German tax advisory market. The capital will support the rollout of its agentic AI platform across new partner firms and continue the ongoing development of its proprietary software.

About Limetax

Founded in January 2026 by Christoph Gamon, Maximilian Meyer, and Christoph Dansard, Limetax provides a technological backbone for tax and accounting firms. The platform integrates with existing industry software like DATEV to automate operational workflows while maintaining human oversight for professional tax advice.
