WindBorne Systems, a Palo Alto-based company that develops an artificial intelligence-powered weather forecasting platform and a global atmospheric sensing network, has raised $37 million in a Series B round. This latest investment brings the company's total funding to more than $62 million.

The funding round was co-led by Khosla Ventures and Galvanize. Additional participating investors included TransLink Capital, Lux Capital, and existing investors.
WindBorne Systems Use of Funds
The capital will be used to fund the continued expansion of the company's atmospheric sensing infrastructure and to accelerate the development of the next generation of WeatherMesh, its AI forecasting platform. The funding will also support increased access to computing resources, enabling faster development of new forecasting models and weather intelligence products.
