Vozy, a Miami, Florida-based voice AI platform that helps companies change how they interact with their customers using voice assistants and conversational AI, raised a $5 million pre-Series A.
The round comprised part equity of $4 million and part debt of $1 million, bringing the company's total funding to $8.1 million.
The round was led by GoHub Ventures, with participation from Starling Ventures, SaxeCap, angel investors Arash Ferdowsi (founder of Dropbox), and Alan Rutlegde. Previous investors, Globant and Enlaces, also participated in the round.
The new capital will fuel Vozy's expansion into Spain and the US, scale the company's R&D and global brand strategies and strengthen channel partnerships.
Vozy has positioned itself as the leading voice AI solution in Latin America through the development of a technological infrastructure based on three products or layers: Lili, the conversational assistant; Speech Analytics for conversation analysis; and Voice Biometrics for user identification.
The startup serves over 150 corporate clients in more than 16 countries with its platform. With a 250% growth rate per year, Vozy's goal is to reach 100 million user interactions and conversations and improve customer service efficiency by up to 40%.
