Vectara, a Santa Clara-based generative AI conversational search platform, raised $28.5 million in seed funding to accelerate its growth.

The round was led by Race Capital, which also established a new strategic board of advisors, which includes Matei Zaharia, the co-founder and Chief technologist at Databricks. Vectara aims to solidify its position as a leader in GenAI technology.

The funding will support Vectara's growth trajectory, enabling the company to further develop its conversational search platform and expand its customer base.
