Sunhat Extends Seed Round to €5 Million

Sunhat, a Cologne, Germany-based software startup that helps companies provide sustainability data on demand, extended seed funding to €5 million.

The investment was from EnBW New Ventures, Capnamic Ventures, WEPA Ventures, and xdeck ventures.  

EnBW New Ventures is the Venture Capital arm of EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg based in Karlsruhe, Germany. Founded in 2015, the firm focuses on late seed, series A, and series B investments.  

Founded in 2013, Capnamic Ventures is a venture capital investment firm based in Cologne, Germany. The firm seeks to invest in technology start-ups in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland.  

WEPA Ventures is a corporate venture capital firm based in Arnsberg, Germany. The firm is a venture arm of WEPA Industrieholding. The firm focuses on B2C products and services in the hygiene segment as well as alternative raw materials and packaging solutions.  

Founded in 2019, Xdeck is a venture capital firm based in Cologne, Germany. The firm also accelerates early-stage business-to-business tech startups from Europe. The firm prefers to invest in European business-to-business tech companies, active in process automation, applied big data, artificial intelligence, and sustainability tech.  

Sunhat Use of Funds  

The company will use the fresh capital to fuel its rapid expansion and will support technological advancements and team expansion.
