GetYourGuide, a Berlin, Germany-based global travel experiences platform and marketplace, secured $194 million in equity and credit financing.
The $85 million Series F funding round was led by Blue Pool Capital, with participation from KKR and Temasek. Additionally, UniCredit led the Revolving Credit Facility (RCF) of $109 million, with participation from BNP Paribas, Citi, and KfW.
GetYourGuide plans to use the new funding to further its market expansion and profitability in North America.
The company allows travelers to discover and book unique activities in various destinations, offering guided tours, culinary experiences, skip-the-line tickets, and exclusive bucket-list experiences. The platform features over 75,000 global experiences from 16,000 curated suppliers.
GetYourGuide leverages AI to enhance backend operations, such as optimizing content descriptions and translations and improving customer search curation. The system continuously learns from the training data in the catalog, which is regularly updated. This allows for more complex queries, considering factors like weather, traveler composition, and preferred activities, to provide tailored recommendations.
The company aims to diversify its offerings and recently launched Originals, a collection of exclusive, one-of-a-kind experiences developed with local partners.
