Codified Secures $4 Million in Seed Round

Codified, a Seattle, Washington-based generative AI-powered data governance startup, has secured $4 million in seed funding.

The round was co-led by Madrona Ventures and Vine Ventures, with support from Soma Capital and angel investors Bob Muglia, JG Chirapurath, and Shireesh Thota.  

Founded in Seattle in 1995, Madrona is a venture firm 1and based in Seattle, Washington, that invests in companies in the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Madrona specializes in seed, startup, Series A, and early-stage investments.  

Vine Ventures is an early-stage, software-focused venture capital fund that invests in the U.S., Latin America, and Israel. Founded in 2020, and is based in New York, New York.  

Codified Use of Funds  

The funding will facilitate team expansion, product development acceleration, and a product preview launch for select customers in 2024.
