Abridge, a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based leader in medical conversation AI, announced that it secured an oversubscribed $12.5 million in Series A-1 funding.
The round was Led by Wittington Ventures, with participation from all existing investors including Union Square Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, Pillar Venture Capital, and UPMC Enterprises, and new investors including Turing Award winner Yoshua Bengio, and Whistler Capital.
The new funds bring Abridge’s total to $27 million and will contribute to growing its team and expanding its research and development to further improve and automate document workflows.
