Zilliz, a San Francisco, CA-based leading vector database company based in San Francisco, CA, and the creator of Milvus, announced a $60 million extension to its initial $43 million Series B funding, bringing the total investment to $113 million.
The round was led by Prosperity7 Ventures, the diversified growth fund under Aramco Ventures, with participation from existing investors Temasek's Pavilion Capital, Hillhouse Capital, 5Y Capital, and Yunqi Capital.
Following the establishment of its Silicon Valley headquarters, Zilliz intends to use the additional funds to expand both its engineering and go-to-market teams.
This will allow Zilliz to strengthen its ongoing commitment to open source and expand its managed cloud offering.
