VIAVIA, a Los Angeles, CA-based new video-first e-commerce platform, announced that it raised $8 million in seed funding to launch a debut fashion retail destination catered to Gen Z shoppers.
New Enterprise Associates (NEA) and Basis Set Ventures co-led the round, which also included Exor Seeds, Backend Ventures, and Andrew Ng's AI Fund.
The funding comes on the heels of a $1.15 million pre-seed round announced by the company in February 2022. VIAVIA aims to modernize the fashion e-commerce experience by combining creator-driven live and short-form video content with end-to-end, AI-powered fashion supply chain tech infrastructure.
The funds will be used to reimagine the modern fashion e-commerce experience.
