Umgrauemeio Raises $3.7 Million in Funding

Umgrauemeio, a Brazil-based startup that has developed an AI monitoring platform to combat forest and agricultural fires and reduce CO2 emissions, raised $3.7 million in funding.  

Investors  

Indicator Capital, Latin America’s largest IoT VC, Baraúna Investimentos, The Yield Lab Latam, and Rural Ventures participated in the round.  

Umgrauemeio Use of Funds  

With this investment, Umagrauemeio will implement an AI-powered risk management and analysis solution in surveillance cameras to prevent forest fires, reduce CO² emissions, and improve smoke detection capabilities.  

About Umgrauemeio  

Umgrauemeio is a climatetech company certified as a B Corp that has developed Pantera, a comprehensive platform for integrated forest fire management. Its platform uses high-resolution cameras installed on communication towers and is capable of automatically identifying fires, providing the exact location of the ignition point. The company currently monitors over 17.5 million hectares in Brazil, has received System B and Plan A carbon inventory international ESG certifications, and recently presented its solution at COP28 in Dubai.
