Synthesia Raises $200M Series E at $4B Valuation

Synthesia, a London, UK-based AI video platform for enterprise training and workforce upskilling, has raised a $200 million Series E round at a $4 billion valuation.  

Investors 

The round was led by existing investor Google Ventures (GV), with participation from Evantic, the venture fund founded by former Sequoia partner Matt Miller, and Hedosophia. Other existing investors, NVentures (NVIDIA’s venture capital arm), Accel, Kleiner Perkins, New Enterprise Associates (NEA), PSP Growth, Air Street Capital, FirstMark, and MMC Ventures also participated, reaffirming their commitment to Synthesia’s long-term vision.

Founded in 2009, GV is a corporate venture capital arm of Alphabet based in San Francisco, California. It prefers to invest in the enterprise, life sciences, consumer, and frontier technology sectors. The firm has additional offices in Cambridge, London, and New York. GV has more than $10 billion in assets under management (AUM) and a portfolio of over 400 active companies.  

Synthesia Use of Funds  

The company will utilize the funding to develop category-defining AI products, focusing on enterprise learning, conversational AI agents, and large-scale workforce upskilling.
