by Kay Aloha Villamor in February 6th, 2023

Sdui, a Koblenz, Germany-based edtech startup that simplifies communication and organization at schools and daycare centers, secured €25 million in follow-on funding.

The round was led by German-based VC firms HV Capital and Haniel. Existing investors and new capital providers, including private equity professional Dr. Michael Hinderer and growth debt investor Kreos Capital, also participated in the round.

The new investment will further drive Sdui’s internationalization and product expansion and thus secure its consistent growth.

By focusing on internationalization and the extension of its product, Sdui will position itself more broadly as a reliable and innovative digitalization partner for educational institutions across Europe.

Daniel Zacharias, founder, and CEO of Sdui: “We are delighted to have a number of renowned investors in our board that are committed to our future strategy and continue to support Sdui’s ambitions to scale in Europe. With a revenue growth of more than 300 percent since the initial Series A in March 2021, Sdui has been able to prove how much more potential our startup’s business model offers. These investments are building the bridge towards profitability, giving us additional confidence to execute our strategy in the current financial market environment.”

Sdui builds the operating system for everyday digital education and facilitates communication and organization in schools and daycare centers with functions such as chat, digital class books, or cloud.

School and daycare centers are able to communicate and organize more efficiently with the SDUI smart features that connect teachers, educators, parents, and children. As a result, SDUI’s platform reduces administrative workload and allows teachers to focus on providing the best possible education.
