Scopia Surgical Raises $2.65M CAD Pre-seed

Scopia Surgical, a Montreal-based medical technology company developing AI-powered surgical navigation for minimally invasive and robotic surgery, has announced the closing of an oversubscribed $2.65M CAD pre-seed financing round. This latest injection of capital brings the company closer to its goal of integrating high-fidelity imaging into the operating room.

The financing was co-led by Linearis Ventures and Anges Quebec. Additional participants in the round included Fonds Impulsion, an initiative of the Government of Quebec managed by Investissement Quebec, HaloHealth, Richard Rubin, and Suresh Madan.

Scopia Surgical Use of Funds

Scopia Surgical plans to use the proceeds to grow its engineering and clinical teams, accelerate product development, and advance the first clinical validation of the Scopia Surgical Navigation platform across several hospitals in Canada and the United States.
