Relace, a London-based fintech startup developing artificial intelligence tools for financial compliance, has raised $1.6 million (1.2 million pounds) in a pre-seed funding round. The company provides a software platform designed to help financial institutions identify relevant regulations, assess their obligations, and flag potential compliance gaps.

The funding round was led by Boost Capital. Additional participants included Ascension, Koro Capital, and a group of angel investors with professional affiliations to JPMorgan, Barclays, Morgan Stanley, OpenAI, and SAP.

Relace Use of Funds

Relace intends to use the capital to hire additional engineers, expand its regulatory coverage across the United Kingdom, Europe, the United States, and the Middle East, and build out its commercial team.
