Protex AI, an Irelan, Dublin-based developer of an AI-powered workplace safety solution designed to create a safe and healthy workplace, raised a total of $18 million in seed and Series A funding to help further grow its presence in Europe and North America.

The round was led by Notion Capital, with participation from Playfair Capital, Elkstone, and Firstminute Capital. Flexport and SCOR Ventures also made strategic investments.

The investment will be used to expand both its commercial and engineering teams in order to meet the demands of the global market and to continue to innovate in a space that lags behind. 

Protex AI currently employs 20 people and plans to hire another 30 in 2023 to expand its commercial and technology teams. Next year, the company will open a US office to better serve the North American market as well as expand its support and client success teams.
