Ordinal Raises $1 Million in Seed Round

Ordinal, a Bentonville, Arkansas–based AI research assistant for local governments, has raised $1 million in seed funding.

The round was led by Plains Ventures, with participation from Winrock International and The Venture Center Arkansas Fund. 

Plains Ventures is a venture capital fund that invests in early-stage companies solving high-value problems. It invests in pre-seed, seed, and Series A rounds, with typical check sizes ranging from $250,000 to $1 million. Based in Oklahoma, Plains Ventures helps entrepreneurs succeed and delivers high risk-adjusted returns to its partners. 

Ordinal Use of Funds 

The company will use the funding to expand its customer base, enhance its public-facing chatbot, and build new features to help governments work smarter.
