OpenEvidence Raises $250 Million Series D

OpenEvidence, a Miami, Florida–based startup that provides a medical AI platform, has raised $250 million in a Series D funding round, valuing the company at $12 billion.

The round was co-led by Thrive Capital and DST Global, with participation from a broad group of existing institutional investors. 

Founded in 2010, Thrive Capital is a venture capital firm that builds and invests in internet, software, and technology-enabled companies. Headquartered in New York City, the firm manages approximately $25 billion in assets as of November 2024. 

DST Global is a growth equity and venture capital firm specializing in late-stage investments in high-growth internet and technology companies. Founded in 2009, DST Global has backed several prominent technology platforms, often prior to or around their public listings. 

OpenEvidence Use of Funds

The funding will be used to invest heavily in the R&D and compute costs associated with the multi-AI agentic architecture of OpenEvidence.
