Modem Raises $4.4 Million in Funding

Modem, a Toronto, Canada-based AI product management startup, has raised $4.4 million ($6M CAD) in funding. 

Investors 

The pre-Seed round was led by Accel, with participation from Inovia Capital, Cohere co-founder Ivan Zhang, and Sentry co-founders David Cramer and Chris Jennings. 

Founded in 1983 and headquartered in Palo Alto, Accel is a global venture capital firm that partners with exceptional founders from inception through all phases of growth. The firm has backed category-defining technology companies across consumer, enterprise, and infrastructure sectors, following a long-term, founder-centric approach. Accel operates globally, investing across North America, Europe, Israel, India, and Southeast Asia. 

Modem Use of Funds 

The company will use the funding to expand its AI product management platform, strengthen its team, and increase adoption among software development teams.
