Mews Secures $110 Million in Series D

Mews, a Prague, Czech Republic-based startup specializing in hotel IT management tools, has secured $110 million in Series D funding, valuing the company at $1.2 billion.

The round was led by Kinnevik, with participation from Kinnevik, Revaia, Goldman Sachs Alternatives, Notion Capital, and LGVP.  

Founded in 1936, Kinnevik is a venture capital firm based in Stockholm, Sweden. The firm prefers to invest in the healthcare, software, consumer services, marketplaces, and climate tech sectors across the United States and Europe.

Founded in 2012 by Richard Valtr, Mews is a SaaS hotel startup that specializes in providing IT tools for the hospitality industry, particularly hotels. Their SaaS platform offers a range of services for both hoteliers and guests, including front-desk check-in, payments, reservations, and housekeeping management. Mews has more than 5000 hotel customers and has acquired a total of eight other startups in the hotel IT space, including three in the last year (Frontdesk Anywhere, Hotello, and Nomi).
