metr Raises €10.5M Series B

Berlin-based PropTech company metr has secured €10.5 million in Series B growth capital. The funding will support the company as it continues to scale its AI-based platform designed to manage and optimize energy efficiency in existing residential and commercial real estate buildings.

The funding round was joined by SBG-Sächsische Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH as a new investor. Additional participants in the round included Kachel GmbH (a subsidiary of WIKA Alexander Wiegand SE & Co. KG), IBB Capital GmbH, BRAWO Capital GmbH, Next Big Thing AG, and various existing business angels.

metr Use of Funds

The company plans to use the new capital to further develop its underlying technology and expand its operational infrastructure. A key focus will be the establishment of a new corporate hub in Saxony to optimize supply chains and strengthen customer support. Additionally, the funding will be used to accelerate the company’s international expansion and support its goal of becoming a leading European platform for energy-efficient buildings.
