Mafer AI Raises €2M Pre-seed

Mafer AI, a Barcelona-based startup that develops an AI-native operating system for R&D teams in formulation-based industries, has raised €2 million in a pre-seed funding round.

Investors

This funding round was backed by Kfund, 4Founders Capital, Masia, and Lavanda Ventures. Additional investors include business angels Adrián Mato, Manuel Roca, Dídac Lee, Fernando Castiñeiras, and Juanjo Mostazo, alongside various professionals from the cosmetics, fragrance, and technology sectors.

Mafer AI Use of Funds

Mafer AI plans to use the capital to expand its technical team by hiring additional founding engineers and strengthening its research and Forward Deployed Engineering functions. The company also intends to deepen relationships with existing customers and advance its product roadmap toward proprietary foundational models developed at the Barcelona Supercomputing Centre.
