Language Confidence, a Sydney, Australia-based edtech startup that uses artificial intelligence to automate the teaching and testing of spoken English, raised $1.5 million (A$2.05m) in a seed round.
The round was led by Southeast Asian VC Wavemaker Partners one of Southeast Asia’s leading early-stage venture capital firms, with participation from Investible, a leading Australian early-stage investment group.
The funds are earmarked for expanding Language Confidence’s product range of AI-powered APIs and automated English tests, as well as building its already global customer base.
