KEWAZO, a Munich, Germany-based construction robotics firm that integrates robotic platforms on-site to enable further digital services, raised $10 million in Series A funding.
Fifth Wall led the round with participation from Cybernetix Ventures, Unorthodox Ventures, and Nemetschek. Existing investors True Ventures and MIG Capital AG also participated in the round.
This funding brings KEWAZO's total raised to about $20 million. The company plans to use the investment to expand its fleet of construction robots.
“We have an excellent group of partners coming together that will enable us to keep building a leading company in construction robotics,” stated Artem Kuchukov, co-founder and CEO of KEWAZO. “This influx of capital will propel us to expand our robotic fleet across Europe and North America, in tandem with enabling us to build out additional digital services.”
KEWAZO digitizes construction with material flow automation and data analytics. The company developed LIFTBOT, a robotic material hoist that transports scaffolding parts on construction and industrial sites.
LIFTBOT integrates sensors that ensure safe operation and collects data crucial to processes such as transported weight, current scaffolding height, and efficiency. This data can be accessed on any browser or a smartphone via the data analytics web platform KEWAZO ONSITE.
