Flower Labs Raises $20 Million in Series A

Flower Labs, a Hamburg, Germany-based open-source framework for training better AI on distributed data using federated learning, has raised $20 million in Series A funding.  

SaaS Investors  

The round was led by Felicis, with participation from investors such as First Spark Ventures, Factorial Capital, Beta Works, Y Combinator, Pioneer Fund, and Mozilla Ventures.   

The round also saw participation from angel investors, including Hugging Face CEO Clem Delangue and GitHub co-founder Scott Chacon.  

Flower Labs Use of Funds  

The company will use the funding to boost the widespread adoption of federated and decentralized AI.
