Defense Unicorns Secures $136M Series B

Defense Unicorns, a San Antonio, Texas–based defense technology company, has raised $136 million in a Series B funding round at a valuation exceeding $1 billion. 

Investors 

The round was led by Bain Capital, with participation from Ansa Capital, Sapphire Ventures, Valor Equity Partners, AVP, Uncorrelated Ventures, and former CIA Director David H. Petraeus. 

Founded in 1984, Bain Capital is a global private investment firm committed to creating lasting impact for investors, teams, businesses, and communities. With approximately $215 billion in assets under management, the firm operates across private equity, venture capital, credit, public equity, and real estate. Headquartered in Boston, MA, Bain has 24 offices on four continents. 

Defense Unicorns Use of Funds 

The company will use the funding to expand product development for the Unicorn Delivery Service (UDS), UDS Registry, and UDS Army, further scaling secure software deployment across U.S. and allied military systems.
