CraftBank Secures ¥3.8B Series B

CraftBank, a Tokyo, Japan-based provider of a SaaS business management platform for construction companies, has secured a total of ¥3.8 billion in a Series B round. 

Investors 

The round was co-led by JIC Venture Growth Investments and existing investor Angel Bridge, with participation from JP Investment, Dai-ichi Life, Delight Ventures, Mitsubishi UFJ Capital, and others. 

JIC Venture Growth Investments Co., Ltd. (JIC VGI) is a Tokyo-based venture capital firm established in July 2020 as a subsidiary of Japan Investment Corporation (JIC), the Japanese government’s sovereign investment arm. It serves as JIC’s vehicle for venture and growth-stage investments, aiming to foster innovation, strengthen Japan’s industrial competitiveness, and address key social challenges. JIC VGI invests primarily in deep tech, life sciences, and technology-driven startups at the growth stage. 

Angel Bridge is a venture capital firm based in Tokyo, Japan, specializing in early-stage investments. Founded in 2015, the firm primarily invests in seed, early-stage, and Series A startups. Key sectors include university-launched ventures, deep tech, and IT services (SaaS, platforms, logistics, no-code). The firm manages a considerable fund size for the Japanese seed and early-stage sector, with total AUM of around $110 million. 

CraftBank Use of Funds 

The company will use the funds to strengthen nationwide support systems, expand AI-driven product development, and enhance regional collaboration with local construction companies.
