Construex Secures $4.6 Million in Seed Round

Construex, an Ecuador-based software-as-a-service marketplace for the construction and design industries, has secured $4.6 million in seed funding. Read our article to learn more about how to raise seed funding for a startup.

The round was co-led by Zacua Ventures and Fifth Wall, with participation from ABSeed and Terracotta Ventures.  

Zacua Ventures is a venture capital firm that focuses on investments in the built environment at a global scale. It prefers to invest in the construction and environment sector. Based in San Francisco, California, the firm has additional offices based in Madrid and Singapore.  

Founded in 2016, Fifth Wall, a Certified B Corporation, is the largest venture capital firm focused on technology for the global real estate industry. Based in New York, New York, the firm has additional offices based in Los Angeles & Singapore.  

Construex Use of Funds  

The funding will be used to further expand into Mexico and other Spanish-speaking countries and to add Brazil to the pipeline.

Construex was founded in 2019 to digitize the construction industry in Latin America. The platform connects construction product suppliers with customers and offers features such as virtual reality showrooms and CRM tools for suppliers. The company has more than 80,000 registered suppliers offering over 700,000 products ranging from architecture to engineering to furnishings. It also has a team of 48 people across two offices.
