Armada Raises Over $55 Million in Funding

Armada, a San Francisco, CA-based technology company specializing in edge computing, AI, and mobile data centers, raised over $55 million in funding.  

The company has also introduced its Commander Platform, Armada Connect, Armada Edge, and Armada EdgeAI as part of its ecosystem.  

SaaS Investors  

The round was led by Founders Fund, Lux Capital, Shield Capital, and 8090 Industries. Other participants include Felicis, Contrary, Valor Equity Partners, Marlinspike, 137 Ventures, Koch Real Estate Investments, and 8VC, among others.   

Founders Fund is a venture capital firm investing in smart people solving difficult problems. The firm invests across all stages, sectors, and geographies.  

Lux Capital is a venture capital firm based in New York City. It was founded in 2000 and focuses on investments in emerging technologies.  

Founded in 2021, Shield Capital Partners is a venture capital firm based in Burlingame, California. The firm prefers to make investments in the cyber security, artificial intelligence, space sensing, and autonomy sectors.  

8090 Industries is a venture capital firm based in New York, New York. Founded in 2020, the firm partners with the largest industry leaders of the world today to invest in and accelerate the category-leading industrial giants of tomorrow.  

Armada Use of Funds  

The company will use the funds to expand the team, open offices in the US and Singapore, and invest in AI and machine learning expertise. The company aims to bridge the global digital divide by providing a decentralized approach to edge computing, generative AI, and predictive models on a global scale.
