Aktivate Closes $3.7 Million in Series A

by Kay Aloha Villamor in July 14th, 2023

Aktivate, a New York-based provider of scholastic sports management software, closed $3.7 million in Series A funding, bringing its total raised to $14 million in funding since its founding in 2020.

The round was led by Will Ventures, Tal Ventures, and Benson Oak Ventures, with participation from 97212 and Tieferes Ventures.

The funds raised from the Series A round will be utilized to enhance the existing capabilities of the software by incorporating new in-app integrations.

Currently, Aktivate is working with six of the largest school districts in the United States. The company has set ambitious goals to achieve a growth rate of 200-300% in the coming year.

Aktivate's integrated digital fundraising tool enables directors to keep track of donor information, donation goals, and statuses. The core focus of Aktivate is to provide a centralized platform tailored to the needs of athletic directors in school districts across America.

The platform integrates various tasks, including registration, scheduling, communication, and more. This integration reduces the likelihood of errors or noncompliance, allowing directors and coaches to spend less time on administrative tasks and fundraising, and more time actively engaging with the students.

"We are the athletic director's best friend, providing them the keys to build strong communities through scholastic sports" said Aktivate CEO Hesky Kutscher. "With this funding, we plan to continue scaling our platform to better meet the needs of sports departments in districts across the country, and provide the utmost value for our users."

The company aims to release new products and services throughout the year and into Q1 2024.
