Acryl Data Secures $21 Million in Series A

Acryl Data, a Mountain View, CA-based company driving the DataHub Project, an open-source data catalog, announced that it has secured $21 million in Series A funding.

The round was led by Bhaskar Ghosh, Partner at 8VC, with participation from Ram Shriram, Founder, of Sherpalo Ventures, and Guillermo Rauch, Founder and CEO of Vercel. 

The funds will be used to deepen investments in customer success, accelerate the development of its cloud offering and extend the vision of its product towards a control plane for data.

Acryl product Acryl Cloud is a robust data management platform designed for enterprise use. It harnesses the power of the open-source DataHub Project, which is spearheaded by the Acryl team and supported by a community of over 7,500 data professionals. 

Additionally, Acryl also announced Acryl Observe – a new fully-integrated observability module designed to increase trust in an organization’s most important data assets and enhance data quality management.
