Tactyc, a Morrisville, NC-based software solution to address venture capital portfolio forecasting and planning, announced its official launch and raised $1.5 million in a seed round to accelerate its growth.
The round was led by MaC Venture Capital, a leading seed-stage investment firm, and 4DX Ventures, a Pan-Africa-focused venture capital firm, with participation from other leading investors.
Tactyc plans to expand its product and sales teams and hire talent for customer success and business development roles.
“We've seen that data-driven workflows are a leading indicator of actual fund performance,” says Anubhav Srivastava, founder, and CEO of Tactyc. “However, these analyses today still require complicated spreadsheets that are difficult to build and maintain. The spreadsheet ecosystem is also not flexible enough for real-time insights and scenario planning. Tactyc solves this with a seamless solution that combines sophisticated portfolio construction and management. VC's now have real-time insights on actual and projected performance combined with answers to commonly asked questions around reserves and exit scenarios. We are empowering every VC to deploy data-driven workflows at their fund quickly and without touching a spreadsheet.”
The company has more than doubled its revenue in the last five months. It is entering the market with over 160 clients globally, ranging from emerging managers to multi-billion-dollar funds and corporate venture arms.
