Octomind, a Karlsruhe, Germany-based AI-powered testing tool specifically designed for web applications, has secured €4.5 million in seed funding. 

Investors

The round was led by Cherry Ventures, with participation from notable angels such as Sean Mullaney from Algolia, Charlie Songhurst (formerly of Microsoft), and Lutz Finger (formerly of LinkedIn and Snapchat). 

Founded in 2012, Cherry Ventures is a venture capital firm based in Berlin, Germany. The firm prefers to invest in pre-seed and seed-stage startups in various sectors including climate tech, consumer, fintech, health tech, industrials, interactive entertainment, lifestyle, mobility, and SaaS. 

Octomind Use of Funds

The fresh capital will go towards building stability and trust in AI-based testing.

Founded in 2023 by Marc Mengler and Daniel Roedler, Octomind is a software company providing an AI-powered end-to-end test SaaS platform for web app debugging. The company has developed a functional AI agent capable of autonomously identifying what to test, writing tests, and maintaining them without human intervention, solely by analyzing a website.
