Light Raises $30 Million in Series A

Light, a Copenhagen, Denmark–based AI-focused finance software startup, has raised $30 million in Series A funding. 

Investors 

Balderton Capital led the round, with participation from Atomico, Cherry Ventures, Seedcamp, Entrée Capital, and angel investors including Thomas Wolf and Charlie Songhurst. 

Balderton Capital is a venture capital firm based in London, UK, with over $6.9 billion in assets under management (AUM). The firm invests in early-stage technology and internet startups in Europe. It seeks to back companies operating in the finance, health technology, software, mobility, food technology, entertainment, internet security, and retail sectors across Europe. 

Light Use of Funds 

The company will use the funding to expand its commercial operations, including new offices in London and New York, and to scale its platform for enterprise customers.
