Greptile Raises $4 Million in Seed Round

Greptile, a San Francisco, CA-based platform that can search and understand complex codebases in natural language, raised $4 million in seed funding.  


The round was led by Initialized Capital, with participation from various prominent industry angels.  

Initialized Capital is a San Francisco and New York-based early-stage venture capital firm with over $3.2B in assets under management. The firm focuses on investing in software startups at the seed stage and earlier.  

About Greptile 

Founded by Daksh Gupta, Soohoon C., and Vaishant Kameswaran, Greptile focuses on developing AI tools designed to help developers understand and manage large and complex codebases. The company provides an API that developers can integrate with their code repositories to build custom applications based on AI-driven queries. Greptile is used by over 500 paying customers, including developers from companies like Stripe and Amazon. The company is part of the Winter 2024 batch of Y Combinator.
