Clerk Raises $30 Million in Series B

Clerk, a San Francisco, CA-based developer tools company known for its React-friendly authentication solution, has raised $30 million in Series B funding.  

SaaS Investors  

The round was led by CRV, with participation from Stripe and existing investors Andreessen Horowitz and Madrona.   

CRV is a venture capital firm that invests in early-stage enterprise and consumer startups. Founded in 1970 and based in San Francisco, California, the firm prefers to invest in the life science, consumer products and services, and enterprise sectors.  

Clerk Use of Funds  

The company will use the funds to expand its services beyond authentication into authorization, determining user permissions.
