Cierpa & Co. Raises ¥1 Billion in Series B Round

Cierpa & Co., a Tokyo, Japan-based sustainability data platform provider, has raised ¥1 billion in the first close of its Series B round. 

Including prior investments and loans, Cierpa has now secured approximately ¥1.5 billion in total funding. 

Investors 

The round was led by WiL, with participation from existing investor Global Brain and new investors, including the corporate venture capital funds of ANA Holdings and Canon Marketing Japan. 

World Innovation Lab (WiL) is a US- and Japan-based venture capital fund that helps growth-stage companies expand into new markets, particularly Japan. The company invests in a range of sectors, including AI, B2B SaaS, fintech, health tech, and sustainability. 

Cierpa & Co. Use of Funds 

The company will use the funds to strengthen its organization and enhance SmartESG into a platform that enables corporate sustainability management and co-creation with client companies.
