Amperon, a Houston, TX-based company that specializes in AI-powered electricity forecasts, raised $20 million in Series B funding, bringing its total raised to $30 million.
The round was led by Energize Capital, with participation from D. E. Shaw group, Veriten, and existing investor, HSBC Asset Management, Ørsted, and another strategic utility partner.
Energize Capital is a venture capital firm that invests in climate software solutions that help scale sustainable innovation and enable the new energy economy. Founded in 2016 and based in Chicago, Illinois.
In conjunction with the funding, Energize Capital Partner Tyler Lancaster joined the Amperon board of directors.
Amperon Use of Funds
The company intends to use the funds to hire more engineers, data scientists, customer support, and sales roles as the company expands into new markets.
